I’m Josh L, the host of Decolonize Your Playlist. I am a White person married to an Indigenous spouse descended from the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe. I started this show to be closer to my spouse, and to explore and promote the vast diversity of North American Indigenous rock and pop music.

The inspiration for this show was the song “Navigate,” by Wayquay, which I first heard played by TJ Connelly on Uncertain.fm.
